Israel already has "great wealth"
While Yakov's request, to see the Redemption in his time, was not
granted, this was because G-d wanted the Redemption to come in a
much greater fashion. To achieve this, the pain of exile would have
to be endured for much longer than the twenty years he spent in
Lavan's house.
However, after the exile has extended itself to an extreme, until our
time, it is absolutely certain that the Redemption now would be in
the highest possible manner (since "according to the pain is the
reward.") Certainly, we already have the "great wealth" in its
ultimate fullness! Since this is so, the Jewish People cry out: "How
much longer!" "End the exile!"
Since this is so, let us continue to seek and demand the Redemption
with stubbornness, as a "stiff-necked nation," in a complimentary
sense.
